Lack of Certification Termination Project

This year, UnitedHealthcare will not be providing initial certification reports, as certification statuses are changing daily and the files are large. The top NMA in an agent’s hierarchy will be copied on individual termination notices. For the most up-to-date agent certification status, please refer to the Ready-to-Sell reporting available under the Reporting tab in Jarvis.

Required Certifications:

  • Active agent: 2026 Medicare Basics Assessment (or 2026 AHIP, 2026 NABIP), 2026 Ethics and Compliance Assessment, and 2026 AARP Module
  • Or 2026 Fast Track Assessment
  • Servicing agent:  2026 Medicare Basics Assessment (or 2026 AHIP, 2026 NABIP), 2026 Ethics and Compliance Assessment, and 2026 Servicing Attestation

    Important Dates:

    • 1/15/2026 – Initial term notice goes out to all included producers
    • 1/29/2026 or 1/30/2026 – 15-day reminder to those who have not yet certified
    • 2/13/2026 – Last day to certify to avoid termination
    • 2/14/2026 – Communicated Final term date
    • Because this falls on a Saturday, the actual terminations will happen on Monday. Certifications must be fully completed before the 14th

    What to do if Terminated

No exceptions will be granted. If an agent is terminated, their only option is to re-onboard with their current NMA, as this term does not constitute a release. This process is automated and checks certification completion daily. Once an agent certifies, the system will detect the update, and a termination cancellation letter will be issued automatically. There is no need to contact Agent Lifecycle Management (ALM) when certification is completed. Please allow at least one full business day for systems to update before becoming concerned about not having received a cancellation letter.

    Intent to Service

Additionally, if an agent signs the Intent to Service form and subsequently completes certification, the termination will be canceled, and the agent will remain active and not enter a servicing status. If the agent truly intends to enter servicing, they may need to reach out to ALM to request the servicing link again.
